About The Author

Rio Dayne is no naïve ingénue. This British-Canadian woman draws on the lessons and experience she gained over the course of a successful management career to achieve her personal and professional ambitions. Rio first rose to prominence in the public service sector while serving as a disaster management specialist where she was tasked with the formidable responsibility of penning a number of provincial emergency and disaster management plans. These included contingency plans for events such as terrorism, air disasters, and animal disease pandemics.

Later, as she sailed towards mid-life, she began to feel restless. Rather than giving in to inertia and complacency, she made the decision to switch gears, jettisoning a cushy stay-at-home gig to make an entrepreneurial leap of faith.

As a writer of cutting-edge contemporary fiction, she transcends the viewpoint of individual characters in order to tell stories that touch readers with their powerful emotions, and resonate and inspire with their passion.

Rio will officially launch her first contemporary fiction, The Network: You Have (1) New Message in Summer 2012. The first in a series, the story unfolds in the midst of recent social, political, and natural disasters, and is a controversial and downright gritty tale of lust, murder, and vengeance all raging towards a climax that promises to shock and awe its readers.
